No access agreement in place
100m south of the track from Dirtlow Rake to Eldon Quarry just west of the old Hollandtwine Mine site. Only access via public footpath at west end near Wham Rake. Stock fencing has a climb-over point installed - please do not damage the wire. 79m-deep engine shaft covered by an old iron grille with a slot cut into it. Take at least one scaffold tube (minimum 2m) for a belay. 12mm backup bolt anchor on corner rock, but hanger required. Backup stake nearby. Do NOT trust the grille bars to stand on or use alone for rigging - they are ancient.
