Park in Goodluck layby and walk down the road around the bend towards Tufa Cottage (SK 1719 5710). Care is required when crossing here to reach the steep woodland path that goes up the side, then over the top of Tufa Cottage. After a fairly short, but strenuous distance, a spoil heap will be spotted on the right. Continue up the path that runs along the left of the spoil heap, ignoring any minor paths that head towards it, until a slight path branches off to the left towards a small flat area where the level can be found in the hillside.
