Entrance of Putwell Hill Mine

Access

check Permission required.

In the prominent opencut at the eastern end of the mine site. Trips undertaken without prior permission from Chatsworth Estates are unauthorised. No formal agreement yet in place to administer access to either of these sites. Grid reference for Boothlee Mine is SK163 728, with description & survey dated 1976 in SUSS Journal, Vol 2, No 5. Boothlee Mine lies in Wye Valley SSSI.
